About Me
My name is Ellen LaFleche-Christian
and I am the owner and crafter of Moonlight Creations and one half working
partner (with my husband) of Lilac Hill Homestead. I am a work at home mom to my two
children - a daughter that is 15 and a son that is 11. My
husband and I and our children enjoy country living in our 1865 farmhouse
in rural Central Vermont. Working at home allows me the flexibility I need
to deal with a chronic illness and a busy homesteading life. We homeschool
both our children and believe in living simply and gently on this
earth. We are on a journey
toward self sufficiency and a simpler lifestyle. Our income is made solely
through our home businesses. We are working toward our dream of
going partially off grid and living a more natural and simpler lifestyle.
We believe strongly in self sufficiency, alternative energy and barter and
it's our goal to eventually be totally self suffiicient.
I have
enjoyed crafting for almost 25 years and take pride in the wide variety of
handmade crafts I can offer you. All of my creations are made with
care and attention to detail especially for you. Custom requests are always welcomed.
I work hard to find just the right materials to create a one of a kind
piece at affordable prices.
I chose the name Moonlight
Creations because when I first began selling my crafts, I considered it
"moonlighting" because I worked in the evening after coming home
from working a full time job. The crafts I created were my Moonlight
Creations. I am now blessed to be able to devote myself solely to my
own business.
A few of the techniques I
enjoy include bead work, handmade
stitcheries, notecards, handmade candies,
decoupage,
fabric painting, glass
etching, bath products, etc. As I perfect new techniques, I add them to my website
so I can offer an ever changing variety of gifts. I began creating
homemade stitcheries and candies close to 25 years ago and my love for
crafts has led to learning new techniques. I have been beading for the
last five years and within the past 4 years, I have added other
crafts.
In addition to my creative side, my
Typing & Resume Service allows me to use my computer and
administrative skills. I have over 20 years of
experience in business both in the private sector and government
administration.
